The Netflix Kaos creator just shared their fave easter egg from the show that no one noticed

Harrison BrocklehurstKaos on Netflix is just one of those shows so chock full of references to mythology and the Greek pantheon it’s actually impossible to make a note of them all. They come thick and fast and without stopping, you’d have to be an expert to actually clock them all. But one of the best has just been revealed by Kaos creator and writer Charlie Covell – and it’s an easter egg literally if you blinked you’d miss it. And it comes from episode one.
When asked what their favourite easter egg in Kaos is, creator and writer Charlie Covell explained how to clock it you need to pause and rewind episode one. Charlie’s fave easter egg moment in Kaos is when Eurydice is hit by a truck at the end of episode one.
“You have to pause it, but if you go back a few frames before Riddy is hit by the truck and pause it, it says Serpent Solutions,” they explained. “In the myths, she’s bitten by a snake and dies.”
“But no one sees that,” Charlie added. “I was like, ‘can we slow down the truck?’, and they were like, ‘no, it’ll ruin it because it won’t hit her fast enough’. So it was like, ‘Easter egg or good moment of drama’, and obviously the drama won.”
Kaos is so good at bringing all the mythology into the modern age – so changing the snake bite to a truck running Riddy down from a company called Serpent Solutions is actually genius. I love this show!
