Kaos season two Netflix

Here’s what the nailbiting cliffhanger ending of Netflix’s Kaos means for season two

The writer has spilled what they have planned going forward

Kaos has boomed right on to Netflix, straight into the top 10 and has critics raving about it. Why? Because Charlie Covell has penned an extremely original tale that puts the fascinating mythology of Ancient Greece and its gods right in the heart of a modern world story with an all-star cast. With the show becoming an instant hit, and with that major cliffhanger, everyone who’s dabbled in Kaos is gagging to know what the plans are for the show going forward at Netflix, and if there’ll be a season two. The writer of Kaos, Charlie Covell, has shed some light on their plan for the future of the show.

For those who’ve not yet watched, Kaos is set in an alternate present day where the gods of Ancient Greek mythology rule over humans, but Zeus (Jeff Goldblum) senses a threat to his reign after an ominous wrinkle appears and some disobedient civil unrest. Charlie Covell, who also wrote The End of the F*cking World to similar acclaim, opened up to Radio Times about their plans for Kaos season two if Netflix continues to give them support and backing for more.

“The idea is three seasons in total. So, that’s what I have kind of in my brain… I would love to do more.” Covell has not put pen to paper and started writing any more of future seasons of Kaos, but has said they have a roadmap planned for the future. Some writers set off going before getting renewed by the streaming service or channel, but Covell is playing it more cautiously.

Covell added: “There’s lots of things forming. I’ve got an idea of what the plot is. But no, there’s no script, just lots of fevered documents and stuff that only I would probably understand at this point. But the main story is clear in my head.”
