Student news, lifestyle, pop culture, films, books, music, current affairs, social justice, arts and entertainment

  • I am currently the Co-Editor in Chief at The Birmingham Tab. During my second year at university, I began an internship with DESIBlitz, an online magazine focused on the British Asian experience.
  • I moved from Hong Kong to the UK on my own to pursue a career in writing.
  • I have a particular interest in creative work that touches on the Gothic, translation, and female rage in literary modernism.

Experience

I have had writing published in The Tab, DESIBlitz, Redbrick, Empoword Journalism, and yPolitics. I have held positions as secretary of Writers' Bloc (where I was previously social secretary) and BEDSoc, as well as social secretary for Redbrick. I have also been inventory and merchandise officer for the tea society, because I'm well-rounded like that :)

Education

I study English and creative writing at the University of Birmingham, and previously completed thirteen years of education at English-medium international schools in Hong Kong.
