As Ed Sheeran cried on stage, his own cousin dropped brutal bombshell about his ‘malicious’ ways

Through tough times you can always count on family for support, unless you’re Ed Sheeran, whose cousin has just savaged him. 

Though he’s not as popular as he once was, unless you count the Morrisons soundtrack as a headline festival moment, Ed Sheeran has long been considered very unproblematic. That all changed earlier this month when Macklemore was removed from Ed’s tour over his pro-Palestine remarks, which billionaire Robert Kraft championed to other stadium chiefs. 

It started a massive debate. On one side, you had the likes of Javier Bardem and Florence Pugh showing support for Palestine, and on the other, you had Tommy Robinson and Boy George backing Ed. Other celebs went even harder, issuing full statements.

What did Ed Sheeran’s cousin say? 

Ed Sheeran’s cousin, Jethro Sheeran, is a musician, record producer, and rapper who did not pull punches when addressing the elephant in the room. 

In an Instagram post, he wrote: “Finally it’s all coming out! I’m ashamed of my cousin Ed and what he’s done. Finally the world and all his fans see through him. He’s not a good person, I don’t like his music so I can’t say he’s even a good artist.

“Ed Sheeran! He is shady and he’s dropped Macklemore himself I believe 100 per cent he’s a coward. In my opinion he’s a bad human. Just my opinion from my experiences.”

But he didn’t stop there, adding in another line:  “He’s honestly a selfish individual with malicious, cunning ways. ‘He kills you with kindness’ (His Words) I’m his first blood cousin and he screwed me over, made fun of my mental health and mental health in general.”

He further argued that the “nice guy” persona is a “fake narrative that’s calculated just to keep everyone happy so he can do big private gigs and keep brand deals etc.”

It’s not immediately clear what happened between Ed and Jethro Sheeran, but god, Christmas is going to be awkward.
