Justin Bieber is getting dragged for wild ‘cheating’ comments that contradict his own lyrics

People have dragged Justin Bieber with a mix of confusion, mockery, and side-eye for his cheating comments, and how they don’t exactly line up with his songs.

Justin Bieber has previously been slammed for his questionable comments on Instagram. Apart from his music and marriage, he’s pretty well known for the bizarre things he says. Usually, it’s either a strange remark about Hailey or something people think is linked to Selena. But this time, surprisingly, it’s neither.

So, what exactly did he say?

During a recent Twitch stream, Justin got surprisingly candid about what he considers cheating. The 31-year-old singer said that even thinking about someone else “with lust” is basically the same as committing adultery.

“If you even think of a woman with lust, it’s the same thing as actually doing it,” he said. “If it even crosses your mind for one second.”

He also compared it to anger, saying, “If you treat a man with anger or something, it’s the same as killing a man.”

Now, while some people on Twitter agreed with his religious perspective, noting that he was paraphrasing the Bible, others weren’t exactly buying it.

One user wrote, “He’s paraphrasing the Bible tbh, y’all just be detached from the source.” Another joked, “He said that with the confidence of a man who’s sinned creatively.”

One other person commented saying, “He’s preaching purity like his Spotify isn’t full of confessions.” Another added, “He be thinking about Selena all the time.” And someone else said, “Justin out here acting like he’s hosting Sunday school when half his songs sound like confessions from the cheating section.”

His catalogue is full of emotional lyrics about heartbreak, regret, and temptation, from “All That Matters” to “Habitual” and “Honest.” So hearing him call lustful thoughts “the same as adultery” has left people pointing out the irony.

Still, Justin’s been pretty open in the past about his faith and how it shapes his views on love and marriage. He’s been married to Hailey Bieber since 2018, and the couple recently welcomed their first child, Jack Blues.
