Justin Bieber’s posted a cryptic comment on Instagram everyone thinks is about Hailey
‘If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love’
If you’ve been keeping up with Justin Bieber on social media, you will be fully aware that in 2025 it definitely does not seem to have been business as usual. There have been a few controversies and concerns with the way that Justin Bieber has been posting and portraying himself on social media and in particular the way he’s referred to his wife Hailey – but the latest Instagram comment, as cryptic as it is, has everyone thinking it’s about her. It does seem like a very pointed jab at the Justin Bieber and Hailey relationship – and has only raised concerns about whether the pair of them are on the way to splitting.
Obviously only those two know the status of their relationship, but with this latest cryptic comment saga it really does seem all is not well on the Justin and Hailey Bieber front.
The comment has definitely raised eyebrows
“Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”

Accompanying a pair of black and white selfies, Justin Bieber wrote “Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”
Whilst this might be completely unrelated to his wife Hailey, especially considering the post he uploaded directly before this one was of him FaceTiming her, it’s easy to see why people are thinking that this Instagram comment from Justin Bieber is. Especially because it’s the latest in a chain of bizarre posts and rumours of friction between the two.

Last month, Justin Bieber had made another comment about love that created discourse. Bieber said “Love isn’t a you get what you put in kinda thing. It’s a receiving thing. Still find myself trying to earn love. And It’s exhausting.”
But Hailey has been quick to shut down any gossip about friction between the pair. In an interview with Vogue last month, Hailey said “And that’s the thing: I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them.”
She also explained “Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult. And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and ‘they’re this’ and ‘they’re not happy.’”
