Page Six reported that Selena and Benny used Mindy Weiss and Revelry Event Designers, the exact same team who helped Justin and Hailey plan their dreamy 2019 ceremony in South Carolina. On top of that, both weddings featured similar garden-and-candle setups, white floral arches, and an overall elegant, classic vibe. The lighting and floral choices in both weddings also leaned heavily on whites and neutrals, giving each ceremony a soft, sophisticated aesthetic.

People noticed the details and commented on them, with one saying, “Wow, they basically copied the Biebers,” and another adding, “Those vendors really know their stuff, but the similarities are mad.” Of course, using the same planners doesn’t automatically mean Selena and Benny were copying anyone, top celebrity planners work with loads of clients, and these overlaps happen pretty often. But it’s Selena and Justin we are talking about.

The timing of the weddings also caught attention, since both happened in the same week and month. People have also pointed out that Selena’s dress had an eerily similar vibe to the gown Justin Bieber’s ex Sofia Richie wore for her own wedding. Combine all the mirrored aesthetic choices and even the similar style of the bride’s dress, and it’s no wonder people are talking about it.

All of these similarities, no matter how small, are enough to make us all spiral.
