They are strictly illegal
A list of baby names has emerged that are said to be banned in the US, and it’s pretty obvious why.
Each individual American state has their own set of rules on naming babies, but numbers, emojis and special characters are generally forbidden.
There are also a few that are strictly illegal across the entire country because they contain numbers, have religious connotations or are just downright offensive.
Here are all of them, and what would happen if you do try and name your baby one of the banned names.

So, what happens if you use them?!
If you go to register your baby with one of the banned names, you will be denied. It’s as simple as that! You won’t be able to fill out the form and register your baby.
Okay, you could technically never register your baby and continue calling them that name, but that means they wouldn’t have a birth certificate or legally exist.
Without a birth certificate, they wouldn’t be able to go to school, get a job, open a bank account, buy a house or do absolutely anythig in life.
So, you’d literally be told to change the baby’s name and register them as something else instead.
