Awhina reveals which two MAFS cast she thinks should’ve been matched – and it’s a shocker

Awhina has shared which two MAFS Australia 2025 cast members she thinks would have been a good match, and it’s hell. This week, the cast gained access to their Instagram accounts again, and as part of this, Awhina did a big question and answer session.

During the session, she spilled loads about her former groom Adrian. Let’s just say, it doesn’t look as though we should be expecting a reunion any time soon. She shared they’re no longer on speaking terms.

When asked if she and Adrian have stayed in contact, Awhina said: “No. I’m glad that chapter is closed.” She went on to explain that some scenes from the show were “too triggering” and she will never watch them back.

Then, when asked which two people she wished had been matched, she hinted there was no love lost between her and Jacqui either. “If you were to put two people together from this season, who would you put together,” Awhina was asked. Her reply was: “Adrian and Jacqui period.” Ouch.

Later in the Q&A, she was asked who she is still friends with. She named Jamie as her bestie, but also said she is still in touch with Rhi, Beth, Katie, Ashleigh and Carina. So, no Jacqui? I think we can make of her hellish pairing what we will, then.

Since the show, Adrian has also made it very clear there’s no going back with Awhina. During an interview, he said he can’t move past the fact Awhina and her sister Cleo have apparently been bad-mouthing him since the show.
