Sierah breaks silence in bombshell statement as she gets Instagram account back after MAFS
‘I have been silenced’
The MAFS Australia 2025 cast members have just had their Instagram accounts handed back to them after the show, and Sierah went straight to posting a huge statement.
Sierah Swepstone had a dramatic end to her time on the show. She and Billy left following a so-called “cheating scandal” between her and Adrian, and then when Sierah returned for the reunion it all kicked off again. Sierah accused Awhina of bad-mouthing Adrian, and some pretty harsh messages between her and Adrian were revealed.
Now, as soon as she’s regained control of her Instagram profile after handing it over to Channel Nine, Sierah has had her say. She claimed she’s been “silenced” and has vowed to make sure her side of the story is known. She shared pictures of herself at the start and end of the experiment, to illustrate the effect it had on her.

“What I looked like at the start, vs what I looked like five weeks later,” Sierah said, posting the pictures. In the first she was smiling on her wedding day, and the last photo was her crying at a commitment ceremony.
The MAFS bride also shared a statement in which she said she’d been “silenced”. She said: “For me to look the way I did after just five weeks, something had to have happened. Women don’t break themselves down like that.
“I was silenced in the media because the truth was a liability. The people who caused me harm have controlled the narrative for long enough. I will speak soon.”

She later added another slide, which spoke of feeling isolated. “Isolation is a recognised form of psychological abuse,” the post read. It went on to explain that isolation is when someone is “deliberately distanced from their support networks” and is a “control tactic”.
Sierah’s post added this can “reduce a person’s ability to resist or seek help.” It continued: “In emotionally intense environments, this behaviour can escalate quickly and be easily missed – especially when there’s limited outside contact.” In the past, the MAFS experiment has been described as intense, and participants are cut off from the outside world whilst taking part.

The post concluded: “Over time, isolation erodes confidence, distorts perspective, and makes it harder for the victim to recognise or escape.” It’s not clear if Sierah is aiming her comments at a single person, or the show in general.
