JoJo Siwa reveals the ‘special’ nickname Chris Hughes gave her and it’s too cute

We know and love her as JoJo Siwa, but that’s not even her real name. Born Joelle Joanie Siwa, she adopted the nickname in the earliest days of her Dance Moms career and has not looked back. That being said, there are a few “special” people in JoJo’s life who call her by other names, notably her new bestie Chris Hughes.

After growing incredibly close in Celebrity Big Brother, Chris and JoJo left the house to discover that the UK had been shipping them together the whole time. An out and proud queer woman, JoJo also had to contend with the rumours she split with her partner Kath Ebbs after developing feelings for Chris, something both parties have denied.

“Look, he’s a great guy. It’s platonic. We have a lot of fun together,” JoJo said on This Morning as Chris confirmed, “The thing is our friendship is just a… It’s hard to explain… It’s just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship.”

Though it wasn’t a match made in reality TV heaven, the relationship is still special enough to warrant a nickname.

Since getting her phone back, JoJo Siwa has been incredibly active on TikTok and Instagram, just yesterday revealing the cute name Chris Hughes called her inside the Celebrity Big Brother house.

“One of my favourite things about coming out of the Big Brother house has been seeing new TikTok Trends. This is one of my favourites,” she captioned the post. “Also, yes, this was a picture that we took to send to Donna with a Yorkshire Pudding on my head hahahha.”

In the comments, when someone questioned what Chris called her in the Big Brother house, Chris himself came lurking from the shadows with confirmation that he called her Joelle and Joseph. This would suggest Chris was the “special people” JoJo was talking about.

People went absolutely nuts in response, with one person shouting, “‘Adorable! Just get married, even if it’s a platonic marriage. I’M NOT CRYING THE NATION IS.”

“‘Go get your Joelle,” another said, as a third added, “Chris, you’re actually an amazing human, don’t ever change.”
