Omg, Timothée Chalamet is going to the University of Oxford to study philosophy
I can’t wait for Kylie Jenner to visit him
Timothée Chalamet is going to be a fresher at the University of Oxford in autumn 2025. The Hollywood star is reportedly returning to university for a Master’s in French philosophy.
The actor reportedly fell in love with the city of Oxford while filming Wonka there in 2022. After a very intense few years of sitting next to Kylie Jenner at awards shows, he will be continuing with his academic studies.
Timothée Chalamet previously attended the academically rigorous Booker T. Washington Middle School in New York. He studied for his undergraduate degree at the University of Columbia and New York University, majoring in cultural anthropology. After focusing on his career for so long, Timothée is looking forward to expanding his intellectual horizons at another world-renowned institution.
He reportedly considered studying English literature, but after attempting to read two paragraphs of Dune, he decided books weren’t for him and he would be better off studying philosophy instead. It is believed he will fit right in to a city filled with trench-coat wearing, cigar-smoking humanities girlies, most of whom probably pray to Timothée Chalamet at night already.
Students at the University of Oxford are hopeful Timothée Chalamet will get involved with the uni’s many amateur dramatic societies, because student theatre might actually get some funding if Timothée Chalamet posts about it on Instagram.
A close inside source told The Tab: “Kylie Jenner and her family are excited to visit him during his studies in Oxford. Kim in particular is hyped to swap her usual haunts of Nobu and the Met Gala for Fishies club nights and that kebab van on the way to St Clement’s.”
This follows the news that Emma Watson is studying a DPhil in English literature at the University of Oxford (but like, for real).
