Adrian’s ‘secret girlfriend’ has claimed he and Awhina faked their entire MAFS relationship?!
She’s claiming they ended things on their wedding day, and the rest was staged
A woman who is claiming to have been the girlfriend of Adrian after – or maybe even during – his appearance on MAFS Australia, has alleged he faked his entire relationship with Awhina. I need a minute to come to terms with this.
The woman, called Geneva, has said she and Adrian were together for around six weeks, after Adrian “broke up” with Awhina. She’s claimed this was not long after their on-screen wedding. The timeline is messy, to say the least.
Geneva has alleged Adrian told her he and Awhina would “fake the storyline” and remain a couple in the experiment, despite not actually being together. “He said he and Awhina broke up right after the wedding and the producers were pulling the strings after that until the end (of filming),” Geneva told the It’s A Lot podcast.
She claimed they dated right after the pair filmed their on-screen wedding, but Adrian had told her he had broken up with Awhina. Adrian has obviously not commented on the rumours, and wouldn’t be allowed to speak about his relationship status, whilst MAFS is still airing.
Adrian and Awhina have had their fair share of ups and downs on the show. They initially struggled when it wasn’t clear if Adrian wanted to commit to the experiment, knowing Awhina had a child. He later came around to this, and things looked up again.
But then, he refused to write a letter during Honesty Week, and then there was the whole “footsie scandal” between himself and Sierah. It became clear he was confiding more in Sierah, than his partner Awhina.
So, whether or not Geneva is telling the truth I guess we’ll never know. But, Adrian and Awhina have been rocky no matter what!
