The Leeds Tab is looking for new writers and social media enthusiasts to join our team this semester.
The team would love for you to join us at Dry Dock on Thursday 13th February at 5pm for an open meeting.
If you’re a keen journalist, interested in writing anything from breaking news to campus guides then this is the place for you. The team are also searching for students eager to help with social media content for our TikTok, Instagram and Facebook pages.
You can find Dry Dock in between the University of Leeds campus and Leeds Beckett campus. All university students in Leeds are welcome.
You’ll be able to spot us in our iconic Tab T-shirts once you come inside.
At the open meeting you’ll have the chance to meet the editorial team and fellow writers (and grab a discounted drink with us).

We’ll have an informal chat about all things Tab as we’ll explain how you can write for us and why you should join The Tab.
Our first semester saw great success with breaking news such as the unexpected maintenance man intruder in a student house and exclusive coverage of the Leeds student suspended from Leeds Student Radio.
If features are more your vibe, we’ve had many great pieces out so far like the Leeds edition of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and a guide to the best brunches in Leeds that cure a criminal hangover.
We’re also always looking for aspiring content creators to help with social media content including memes, vox pop and more.
