Attention! The Liverpool Tab is looking for a brand new TikTok Editor to join the team

Would your friends consider you to be chronically online? Are you a creative whizz with plenty of TikTok experience? Do you keep on top of trends and pop culture?

Do you actually understand what “holding space” means? Then we want you!

The Liverpool Tab is looking for a brand new TikTok Editor to join our editorial team. Working alongside our Editor in Chief and Social Media Editor, you’ll have free reign when it comes to filming and posting all kinds of hilarious TikTok content for our page.

We’re looking to grow our following and document the highs, and sometimes lows, of life as a student here, so if you think you’re the perfect person for the role, make sure you apply by the 9th February at 5pm!

What does it involve?

TikTok is the social media platform we most want to see grow at The Liverpool Tab so we’re looking for someone who has a solid grasp of meme culture, and wants to make lots of fun and creative videos. 

You should love being in front of the camera, as you will be expected to present some of the news articles we publish.

It’s not a paid role, but it’s a brilliant bit of experience to pop on your CV.

If you’re thinking of working in the journalism industry, or even social media management and marketing, after you graduate, most employers love to see hands-on experience and evidence in your portfolios.

You’ll also become a part of an enthusiastic team of student journalists who are expanding their knowledge day by day.

Videos shared on our TikTok might involve street interviews and vox-pop style posts, as well as trending memes and funny in person visual content that appeal directly to our student community.

Don’t worry if you’re not used to writing scripts for TikTok videos or even presenting on screen, as our Assistant Editor from HQ is a broadcast journalist by trade, so she’ll be able to help you as and when you need.
