This wild Squid Game editing error kept a player alive when they shouldn’t have
Did anyone even watch the episode back?!
Despite being Netflix’s most successful show ever, Squid Game is filled with plot holes, editing errors and general chaos. The English dub has been meme’d to death, T.O.P has gone from cancelled to fan favourite, and people are even shipping Gi-hun and the Front Man. As if we needed any more drama in this crazy universe, Squid Game 2 has a wild editing error that kept a player alive when they should have been eliminated. and it makes you wonder what other blunders went unnoticed by the show’s producers.
In episode six of Squid Game season two, the absolutely cursed Mingle game is played and we lose one of our season favourites, Young-mi. However, before her devastating death, in the first round of the game, a huge number of players are killed off. The names of the eliminated players are read out through a speaker. Within this bunch is Player 034.
As the speaker is giving all the eliminated player names, the subtitles show that Player 034 has definitely been killed and is now out of the game. However, there seems to be a big mishap when the players emerge from the most tense round of Mingle (the one where Player 333 locks himself in with the group), and a player with the number 034 is perfectly visible in the centre of the shot. They couldn’t have made it any more obvious!

It’s unknown if Player 034 survived the lights out massacre that cost us the best character in the series (RIP Thanos) but if he makes an appearance in Squid Game 3, we’ll definitely have to call out the producers again.
This isn’t the only time the Squid Game creators have missed a huge flaw in Squid Game series. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for more!
