Wait, this is the secret reason Player 222 will definitely survive Squid Game
I’m so happy for her
During Squid Game 2 we all fell for Player 222, so you might be glad to know there’s a pretty huge reason why she will survive. Whilst playing the deadly games, Player 222 told her fellow players she’s pregnant, and then we found out the father of her unborn baby is a player, too.
Then, at the end of the show, a group of the surviving players formed a revolt against the games. They took on the guards, and tried to get to the control room, to end it all. In short, it failed. However, a small amount of players stayed behind – so they’re definitely safe.
Player 222 was one of those players, so we know she’s safe for now. However, we were teased season three of the show – where it looks as though the games will continue. And, if season one is anything to go by, only one player will live to see the outside world again.
According to one Instagram creator, Korean fiction creators are widely against ever killing off pregnant women in TV shows or other fictional creations. He said this is because the portrayal of this is “too traumatising”. He has claimed Squid Game would never show Player 222 being killed off for this reason, for risk the show would be “banned”.
