People have noticed a massive plot error in Squid Game season two that’s so irritating

How did he not realise?!

Squid Game season two is finally here and it’s broken the record for Netflix’s most-viewed show in its opening week.

It had 68 million views, smashing the previous record of 50.1 million views which was set by the Addams Family spin-off Wednesday in 2022.

The second installment of the gripping thriller follows Player 456, Gi-hun, as he re-enters the Squid Game to try and take down its evil creator.

It’s had everyone hooked, but people have noticed a glaring plot error that makes season two so unrealistic.

The Front Man enters the games as player 001 and fools Gi-Hun into believing he is there to get money for his wife’s treatment.

He fools the returning player into an unlikely friendship and he doesn’t suspect a thing, which doesn’t make any sense.

In season one, Player 001 is the old man Oh Il-nam, who is uncovered to be the rich creator and host of the Squid Games.

Gi-Hun found out that he was behind the games, so why wasn’t he suspicious of Player 001 in season two?

If he knows Player 001 was undercover before, wouldn’t he be more distrustful and think the same thing is likely to happen again?

It’s really aggravating people on TikTok, where one person said: “001 even had a similar NAME to the old dude. Like how did you not clock that.”

“And their surnames are even the same! Like, how did he not connect the dots?” said another.

People think Gi-hun should’ve figured it out when 001 called him by his name.

He did question how he knew his name, but was satisfied when The Front Man said he’d heard Jung-Bae say it and never questioned him again.

Many are convinced The Front Man is going to be unveiled as the old man’s son.

In the first season, Oh Il-nam said his son wasn’t able to drink milk, and Player 001 also said he couldn’t drink milk in season two.

We’ll have to wait and see. Squid Game season three is coming to Netflix in 2025.
