After leaving gymnastics for the football pitch at age 17, Bobby played semi-professional for Fareham Town FC before switching again to the world of show business.

He appeared in pantomimes, modelling campaigns, and commercials before undergoing four years of full-time training to become a stuntman, covering areas like kickboxing, swimming, 10m High Diving, gymnastics, trampolining, and scuba diving.

Bobby Holland Hanton and Maura Higgins were first linked together in May 2023 as they were pictured leaving Chiltern Firehouse in London. By August, he was journeying to the United States with Maura where she was hosting Love Island USA.

Maura first confirmed that she was dating “good-looking devil” Bobby while appearing on Ireland’s The Late Late Show in December 2023, telling host Patrick Kielty: “I am no more single. Very happy relationship.”

Unfortunately for us, Maura and Bobby kept their relationship incredibly private besides a few adorable social media shots, paparazzi pictures, and the odd cheeky comment on Instagram.

They remained together for 10 months before separating as a source told The Sun: “It was really fun for a while. But they’re different people. It’s over between them.”

To seal the deal, they unfollowed one another on Instagram.

Outside of Marvel projects, Bobby has featured his stunt skills in franchises like Harry Potter, James Bond – where he stood in for Daniel Craig – Star Wars, Alice in Wonderland, Assassin’s Creed, Tarzan, Wonder Woman, Maleficent, Inception, Green Lantern, Argylle, and John Carter.

Such gruelling work, which is essentially just taking hits where big-buck celebrities would rather maintain their porcelain picture, obviously comes with a fair share of scrapes and bruises.

“I prepare extremely thoroughly, and I’ve been lucky considering how many big gags I’ve done,” he told Men’s Health, saying he “ripped 75 per cent of my groin muscle—the adductor longus—off the bone”
