Ranking all the I’m A Celeb campmates before the first one gets booted from the jungle
Honestly I love this cast SO much
We’re finally at the day where the first cast member from I’m A Celeb 2024 is going to get the boot from the jungle, and it’s been a journey. This is probably the most likeable cast of celebrities I’ve watched on a TV show in ages, and now we’re approaching the sad day where one of them is about to get the permanent boot from the jungle it is time to do a ranked rundown of all the I’m A Celeb 2024 cast. And honestly, this was HARD.
12. Jane Moore
I have never been partial to Jane Moore, and the jungle isn’t making me reconsider this sadly. Once a Sun columnist, always a Sun columnist – and the sexist and agist debacle was just daft. However, I do think she’s a decent campmate and think that journalists often provide interesting commentary and stories for camp chats. All that said, she’s still my least fave.
11. Danny Jones
Potentially a controversial 11th place in the I’m A Celeb 2024 ranked rundown here, but I find Danny Jones boring. Sorry! Put the knives and pitchforks away, lovely bloke, but never particularly buzzing to hear what he has to say.
10. Alan Halsall
Again, nice fella – boring TV. Most exciting thing that happened was Dean kicking off on him, and even then he just toolkit lying down even though Dean was completely out of order. Wish we saw him boot off back.
9. Melvin O’Doom
Most Read
Probably the most likely to leave the jungle tonight when the first out gets the boot, but I’ve really warmed to Melvin over the weeks. First few days he was so quiet, but I love that he whips Dean into shape and I really find him a nice fella. Rooting for him and Carol Vorderman on the outside.
8. Dean McCullough
I know most viewers can’t stand Dean, but I think he’s been an iconic part of the season and I wouldn’t have him any other way. You need someone a bit lazy ready to rile the camp up and despite his shortfalls he has been a laugh overall. People are too harsh on him!
7. Oti Mabuse
I have always loved Oti Mabuse – and often joke about how if I ever got on Strictly I’d set gay rights back and demand to be partnered with her instead. Her I’m A Celeb 2024 appearance has only further validated how much I love her – what a lovely person, and the fact she’s not ranked amongst the top five really showcases how amazing this cast is.
6. Barry McGuigan
What an absolute darling. He’ll win the whole show.
5. GK Barry
I really love seeing someone from my generation of celeb go in there and be so likeable and warm, and win over so many people. Her friendship with Reverend Richard has probably been the highlight of the entire season for me.
4. Tulisa
Tulisa is one of the most mistreated British celebrities of the past 15 years. What a strong woman, down to earth, funny, and has been dealt horrible cards by the press who have constantly tried to tear her down. She really deserves all the love she’s getting after her I’m A Celeb stint.
3. Maura Higgins
Probably the most guaranteed TV gold reality celeb to come out of Love Island. I would actually watch Maura Higgins on any show doing anything. So naturally hilarious, an utter queen. Put her on everything til the end of time.
2. Reverend Richard Coles
The biggest shock of the season is how much I love Reverend Richard Coles. Full of interesting conversation, he manages the impossible: Endearing me to religion. He never comes across preachy, and I love his modern and prejudice free approach to his faith. He just comes across as so warm, wise and endearing. Already mentioned it, but the GK Barry bestie narrative and his really moving chat with Oti have been so special and prove reality TV doesn’t need to be full of scraps and bitching to be an engaging watch.
1. Coleen Rooney
I’ve always loved Coleen Rooney, but I’m A Celeb 2024 has proved she deserves to be ranked as the best campmate for so many reasons. She is arguably the most famous person in there, but you’d never know it. She is so relaxed, intelligent and lovely – a calm presence who never asked for fame and fortune and yet never let any of it go to her head. She’s just above it all and not in a snobby way, her mere existence makes Rebekah Vardy look even more ludicrous. And that’s before we factor in all the ways she’s remained Wagatha. Love her.
