Meet Vicky Wright-Jones, Danny Jones’ famous sister with her own reality TV show past

She even performed with McBusted!?!

Danny Jones is not the only famous face in the Jones household it seems, for while he’s got seven number-one singles from his time in McFly, his sister Vicky Wright-Jones is a musician herself with her own reality TV past.

After Danny opened up about his fight with anxiety on I’m A Celeb, his sister Vicky recently shared her dismay at seeing him cry. The two have an incredibly close relationship and share a passion for music.

Who is Danny Jones’s sister, Vicky Wright-Jones?

Vicky Wright-Jones is Danny Jones’ big sister and grew up with him at their home in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Her mother and father raised them, but when Danny was 18, their father walked out on the family. An obviously hard time for the family, Danny and Vicky funnelled the trauma into writing McFly’s Don’t Know Why.

In 2023, Vicky married Anthony Wright in a star-studded ceremony that all of the McFly boys stepped out for. Celebrities like Pixie Lott and her model husband Oliver Cheshire were also in attendance.

She appeared on The Voice in 2014

Both Danny and Vicky had a passion for music growing up, and though Danny is clearly the more successful sibling, she took a stab at stardom in 2014 when she appeared on The Voice.

She gave a cracking rendition of Bon Jovi’s Bed of Roses for her blind audition, with judges Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue both turning their chairs for her. She ultimately decided to go with Tom Jones but was sadly eliminated during the battle section of the competition show.

Despite her early exit, Vicky looks back on her The Voice experience with pride, telling the Bolton News that her life was thrown up into the air.

“Since finishing The Voice my life has been a complete whirlwind, mainly because I have been making the show work for me, as at the end of that road you’re kind of left in limbo,” she said. “I love how the show has given me a push and a reason to strive and believe again but I also understand that it’s not a deal breaker and you really do have to do the groundwork yourself. It isn’t an instant career maker or a fairy godmother.”

Later in 2014, Vicky took to the O2 stage in London to support McBusted, the merger of the boybands McFly and Busted.
