The harsh lessons Vanessa and Nick can learn from Emma and Matt at the Love Is Blind reunion
1. Don’t talk about yourself half the time
Having Emma and Matt Willis host Love Is Blind UK has honestly been a breath of fresh air. Finally, we are free from the shackles of Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
There’s no other way of putting it other than we have become sick of the Lacheys and their self-centred hosting, and awful reunion shows. Somehow, despite the amount of drama and chaos the cast members of the US Love Is Blind put in front of them, they somehow manage to suck the fun out of every reunion they’ve ever done. It’s got to the point now where the reunion episode is this easiest to skip, when in reality it should be the pinnacle of each season.
But, enter Emma and Matt Willis. They are easy to watch, a good laugh, and injected the fun back into the Love Is Blind reunion, as well as every other episode of the UK series they popped up in. Honestly, it was a masterclass in how to host a large, group interview.
So, I hope you’re taking notes Nick and Vanessa, because here’s everything you need to take forward next time you host a Love Is Blind reunion. Because unfortunately, no matter how many times we ask, they’ll definitely be back for the next US season.
Matt and Emma are such GREAT hosts, that OTHER couple should take notes 👀 #LoveIsBlindUK #LoveIsBlindUKReunion pic.twitter.com/tVAE4Rph0L

It should be pretty obvious, but don’t talk about yourself half the time
Seeing Emma and Matt Willis host Love Is Blind UK was so freeing because, I’ll be straight up, I’m fed up of narcissistic hosting that’s all about the hosts themselves.
Nick and Vanessa will somehow always manage to make the questions loop back to some crazy anecdote about their relationship, or will just drop into conversation that *they are in fact married* like we didn’t already know.

Emma and Matt are genuinely just quite funny
Maybe I’m bias because I’m from the UK and UK humour just hits different, but Matt and Emma Willis are just very funny people.
They cracked a few jokes with Ollie about Craig David during the reunion, to the level where it was still jokes, and then moved on. Nick Lachey would have still been dropping in “Rewind” and “Walking Away” puns an hour into the reunion. I’m rolling my eyes just thinking about it, actually.
You can’t force drama, just show an actual interest in the cast members
The Love Is Blind UK reunion was full of drama and revelations, but that was simply down to the smart hosting skills of Matt and Emma Willis. Where Nick and Vanessa would try and force drama out of the cast members, and quite literally ask them to “spill the tea” or similar, Matt and Emma showed an actual interest.
You can clearly tell Matt and Emma care about the cast members and their journeys on the show – it came across in their questioning. They asked questions a viewer would want to know, and that’s because they have been keeping up with everything that’s happened.
Naturally then, when you ask the right questions, the big revelations come. Matt and Emma made the cast feel comfortable and able to share what they were thinking, whereas when Nick and Vanessa host you can’t help but feel as though the entire studio is on edge.
love is blind uk exceeded my expectations and it was sooooo much better than the us one. thought the reunion was great and Emma and Matt did a great job of cutting argument and moving past to other relationships and asking the right questions

Don’t! Ask! About! Babies!
Vanessa has been called out a couple of times now for awkwardly asking female cast members when they plan on having babies. Sure, we can celebrate when the cast members do welcome children and start families together, but has she not learned that asking women when they want children just really isn’t it?
What if the person you’re asking doesn’t want children, and now they have to awkwardly explain that? Do you know if this person can conceive? Is this realistically any of your business? No Vanessa, it isn’t. Find a better line of questioning.
