The 10 Love Island 2024 couples who have already split, and what went down
Soon there will be none left!
It’s been rough since the villa, and already a number of the Love Island 2024 couples have announced they have split. Some of the connections formed on the show didn’t even last a week in the real world, it seems.
Some of the couples who have broken up we could have expected, and were Islanders who weren’t really that romantic in the first place, but others are couples who genuinely said they were going to give it a go when the show came to an end.
Here are all the Love Island 2024 couples who have already split, and exactly what went down between them.
Trey and Ellie
Dumped Islanders Trey and Ellie were the first of the Love Island 2024 couples to announce they had split. And straight up, he was pictured holding hands and on a date with AJ Pritchard’s ex, Abbie Quinnen, who just weeks ago was rumoured as someone Love Island 2024 wanted to enter the villa.
An insider told The Sun: “Trey and Abbie have been texting non stop. When he was down in London this week he took Abbie out for their first date. They were spotted holding hands and later attended their first red carpet together, a screening of Transformers One. It’s early days but there’s a definite spark.”
Jess and Hugo

Straight after the villa, Jess and Hugo announced they had split, and he was spotted snogging Charlotte Sumner, from Love Island 2023. At the time, Hugo said: “Just to let everyone know Jess and I agreed to go our separate ways after the final in Majorca. I’m hoping we can still be friends as we had a great experience together, she’s a lovely girl and I wish her all the best.”
But clearly Jess is moving on too, because she’s been spotted with Harry at a cast night out! You remember Harry – he’s the Brummie lad who was convinced he could turn Grace’s head, but she was having none of it, so he got dumped. A shame.
Lolly and Konnor
They were never really together, but in case you needed it confirmed, Lolly and Konnor are no longer a thing. Appearing on Aftersun, they explained they don’t see a romantic future together and are “just friends” who would “go on nights out together”.
Harriett and Ronnie
Before you panic too much – these two are still together, they’ve just broken up for a little bit then decided it was just an argument. This is so them, it hurts.
You may have noticed that for a brief period, the couple archived their Instagram posts together, and people began to think they had broken up. This came after a huge row after which they did go their separate ways, but sorted it out within hours.
A source told The Sun: “Ronnie and Harriett had a massive argument and it seemed as if they were all over for good. They both archived posts of each other on Instagram so they were no longer on seen on the other one’s grid.
“They managed to work things out and proved to fans they were back on track a few hours later when their pictures suddenly re-emerged. It was a fiery row, but they’re all good now.” Phew!
Grace and Reuben
Grace and Reuben have called it a day, after weeks of rumours they had split since Love Island 2024. Grace had been pictured getting close to fellow Islander Omar, and because she hadn’t been posting much with Reuben, people began to theorise it was all over.
Confirming the news, a source close to the couple told The Sun: “Grace and Reuben have come to the mutual decision a romantic relationship isn’t right for either of them at this time. Grace wishes Reuben all the best and vice versa. They will remain friends and have no bad feelings towards each other. They have both been very busy since leaving the villa and the long distance has been difficult for both of them.”
Matilda and Sean
Just one month after making it to the finale of Love Island, Sean and Matilda announced it was all over. They both shared Instagram story posts confirming the split, Matilda’s read: “Just wanted to come on here to tell you guys that Sean and I have decided to part ways.
“We are still good friends and I’m so grateful to have shared such an incredible experience with him. We appreciate all of your support throughout our time together and all the love you have shown us. Love you all.”
Harriett and Ronnie
Just weeks after leaving the Love Island villa, Ronnie and Harriett called it quits on their relationship. According to The Sun, a source revealed: “They tried to make it work outside the villa but both have been so busy since getting home they’ve not been able to dedicate enough time to it.”
The pair are still both following each other, but Harriett has deleted every single picture of her and Ronnie. Yikes.
Jessy and Joey
Jessy and Joey lasted seven weeks outside the villa, before confirming they had ended things. Speaking to The Sun, Joey said: “Unfortunately, we have decided to call an end to the relationship but I hope we can continue to be friends. I truly wish Jessy the very best with whatever she does in the future.”
Jessy added: “I appreciate the Love Island experience I had with Joey, we tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported us and look forward to all of the exciting opportunities ahead.”
Mimii and Josh
Just two months after winning Love Island, Mimii and Josh confirmed they had split up. Mimii confirmed the news on Instagram, and wrote a statement saying things hadn’t worked out.
“Hi everyone, I know that a lot of you have been wondering about Josh and I and why we haven’t been making appearances,” Mimii said. “The truth is we have been trying to figure it out since leaving the villa, but unfortunately things aren’t going to work out between us right now.
“I know it’s a big disappointment for a lot of you as it is for me too, your support for us hasn’t gone unnoticed and I will forever be grateful for it, you guys are the reason we made it to this point. God bless you all.”
Jess and Ayo
After three months, finalists Jess and Ayo also announced they had split. Rumours they had ended things started circling when it was noticed Ayo had deleted pictures of them together, and Jess was forced to comment on rumours she had cheated on him. Jess then confirmed the news it was all over, by replying to a fan “we’re not together” when they made a comment about Ayo.
