Love Island editing error last night proves conversation wasn’t at all what it seemed

There was a huge editing error during Love Island 2024 last night, which proves a certain conversation was chopped up to look differently for us at home.

Sure, I’m not going to sit here and be angry that a one-hour show doesn’t cram in every second of what happened in the villa, but when huge chunks are so very clearly taken out of major conversations, it’s right to feel a little short changed.

Last night, one of the main conversations was between Sean and Josh. They’ve had a lot of beef recently, with Sean seeming to always want to air his opinion on Mimii’s situation. He called it strange that Mimii and Josh had gone exclusive so quickly, and has been constantly questioning if Mimii has real feelings for Josh, given her previous connection with Ayo was cut short when he recoupled.

Sean and Josh sat down on the beanbags in the garden of the villa to discuss what had been going on, and get all of their feelings out in the open. As they sat down, Jess, Jessy and Grace were behind them at the fire pit, having a separate conversation.

Josh asked Sean why he kept going in on Mimii and wouldn’t stop talking about their relationship, before Sean admitted he thought it was all a joke and he apologised for taking it too far. Josh said he felt as though they were going around in circles talking about it over and over again, and Sean seemed to say he would stop bringing it up. I’ll believe that when I see it!

But one thing that was quite distracting during this conversation was that out of nowhere – the girls behind them disappeared! Within less than a second, the camera showed Sean with Grace’s head visible behind him, flipped to get Josh’s reaction, and when the camera returned to Sean – Grace wasn’t there!

This is all shown to us as happening in less than a second, definitely not enough time for all the girls to get up and leave, without us seeing. So, clearly, a huge part of Sean and Josh’s conversation was cut. Did they talk about the beef more? Did Sean keep bringing it up and try to defend himself? Did they argue? I need to know!

Either way, the girls just magically disappeared. Messy.
