Grace and Reuben spill all on what’s next after their savage dumping from Love Island 2024

They’ve made it very clear they disagree with being sent home because they won’t work out

Last night saw Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins savagely dumped from the Love Island 2024 villa. After being voted as the couple least likely to work on the outside, the couple were suddenly told to pack their bags and leave.

The pair have had a bumpy ride in the villa – Grace especially. She was coupled up with Joey, then with Konnor, Blade, Harry and finally Reuben. They were a late pairing, so people were unsure if their connection was genuine. Now, they have left the show and have spoken out about how things went, and what’s next for them.

‘I’m really excited to get back to the world’

Reuben said it’s “bittersweet” to be leaving the villa, because he will miss everyone but is “really excited to get back to the world and continue my journey with Grace.”

Grace added: “I feel good about leaving the villa, it’s been a rocky road but I’m pleased with how I handled everything as gracefully as I possibly could, it’s been an incredible experience and I’ve loved every second of it. I’m leaving with what I came in for with Reuben and to make it to the final week with all of the other Islanders is amazing.”

‘She has so many qualities of what I look for in a woman’

When asked about his connection with Grace, Reuben said: “Grace and I had our first chat at the fire pit I knew that was it, I was locked in! From then on out it was pure graft, graft, graft. She was very guarded at first, which I understood because of her couples before but I knew I could get the best out of her, because we had a lot in common.

“It was just a matter of breaking down her walls, I was taking them down brick by brick! She was always giving me little things back. I’m a big character, I’m like Marmite either you love it or I’m a bit too much for you – Grace was sticking around, so I knew she liked it. I had faith in my feelings to her and our connection. I saw the vision from the get go, it was just a matter of her getting to see it as well. It has been a slow burner but we’ve gone from strength to strength. She has so many qualities of what I look for in a woman.”

‘I left with the best guy’

Grace also had plenty of nice things to say about Reuben, and said she “left with the best guy” out of all the previous couples she was in. “Reuben is stunning and has the best personality, he’s exactly what I’ve been looking for,” she said.

Grace and Reuben hard disagree with the public saying they won’t work

Grace and Reuben were dumped from Love Island after the public said they were the least likely to work after the show. They’ve now defended themselves and said they have all intentions of keeping their relationship going.

“In terms of the public opinion, I had a suspicion they might feel that way because we’re a new couple and also because of the distance. I personally disagree with it,” Reuben said. “I personally think it’s a credit to our connection in an environment where everything is sped up, we have done it at our own pace. For me, I think that’s going to be most sustainable in the long run as we’ve set up good foundations for a relationship.

“When we found out we were leaving, I wasn’t sad, I knew I lived every day to the max and there are a lot of stronger couples in there. We know how strong our connection is and the track we’re on. It was all round a great experience and the fact I got to leave the villa with an all around angel that I’m very much into and likes me back, I can’t ask for more.”

So, what’s next for Grace and Reuben after Love Island 2024?

The big question is: What are Grace and Reuben planning next? Grace said: “We are going to take every day as it comes but I’m going to go down to Surrey and he’s also planning to visit me in Manchester. I can’t wait for us to have date night and meet the rest of each other’s families. We are in a really good place and love being around each other so I’m excited to see where things go for us.”
