Inside the vibey life of Eurovision’s Mae Muller: Touring with Little Mix and boujee holidays
She went to the same school as Brooklyn Beckham!
The UK has finally stepped up and realised sending good people to Eurovision is the way forward – first came Sam Ryder, and 2023’s Eurovision entry is none other than Mae Muller. She’s 25, from north London, and incredibly bloody cool. Mae went to a posh school with Jude Law’s son, loves a boujee holiday, has an incred wardrobe, and has even gone on tour with Little Mix! But who exactly is the UK’s 2023 Eurovision hopeful Mae Muller?
Here’s everything you need to know about Mae Muller, ahead of her Eurovision performance:
Mae’s a classic boujee north London girlie
Mae is from Kentish Town, near Camden in north London, and she went to a boujee private school. Fine Arts College, in Hampstead in London, specialises in the arts and its fees are over £26,000 per year. Other mega famous people who went there include Brooklyn Beckham, Jude Law’s son Raff Law, Orlando Bloom, and Helena Bonham Carter. Raff is 26, one year older than Mae so they probably knew each other at school.
She worked in a pub as well as American Apparel on Oxford Street before she got her first record deal. Mae apparently began writing songs when she was eight years old and first uploaded music to SoundCloud in 2017, before eventually getting an agent and a record deal.
Of course like every other London girlie, Mae’s Instagram features a picture of her in the Sketch egg-shaped toilets. But it’s also just pure vibes and full of the best outfits. Sorry but I mean, look at her! Can I have her whole wardrobe please?

But it’s not just London – Mae’s Instagram shows her on holiday in places like New York, Miami, LA, and Spain. Can I have her life please?
Mae has 150k followers on Instagram and almost 600k on TikTok. On TikTok she posts loads of fun vids, showing her prepping and backstage at Eurovision.
And of course, her songs are all over her TikTok. Mae’s first big hit was Better Days, which she featured on with J Balvin and Neiked in 2021, and it’s been used by almost 200,000 TikTok videos. You’ve defo heard her song Therapist (“you don’t need a girlfriend, you just need a therapist”) on your FYP, and of course her Eurovision entry, I Wrote A Song!
She was in a Mika music video and is a bit of a nepo baby
Aged just nine, Mae Muller was in Mika’s Grace Kelly music video – she was the girl wearing a green dress who sat on Mika’s piano. Mika hosted Eurovision in 2022, so she already has a Eurovision connection! Pretty iconic if you ask me.
Mae’s a bit of a nepo baby, because her aunt Sophie Muller directed the Grace Kelley music video. She’s gone on to also direct videos for two of Mae’s songs – So Annoying and I Don’t Want Your Money.
Mae has also been in Mura Masa’s music video for What If I Go?, back in 2016 – but it doesn’t look like her aunt directed that one.
Mae Muller went on tour with Little Mix!!
Mae was Little Mix’s support act on the UK and Ireland leg of Little Mix’s 2019 LM5 tour. Speaking on Hits Radio, Mae said the experience was a “crash course” in performing to large audiences. She called the Little Mix girls “inspiring” and said “their work ethic is crazy”.

“I’d never done an arena before that”, she said. “I think my performance got a lot better and it was a crash course in trying to hold and command a room of that size, also a room that’s not there for you in the first place. I think that really, really helped me. Sometimes, when you’ve got to win over the audience, you have to work a bit harder, which I think was actually a really good thing for me.”
Whilst she was on tour with them, on Halloween she performed at the O2 in London dressed as a giant Muller corner yoghurt, naturally.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN YOU CRAZY KIDS! First time performing at the o2 and I was in a Muller yoghurt costume…. I wouldn’t have it any other way 😊 #LM5TheTour pic.twitter.com/QxvylBLXXR

Aside from Little Mix, Mae has also spoken before about how she grew up listening to iconic British female musicians like Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, and she’s taken inspiration from them. She’s also said she is influenced by Wet Leg, Florence and the Machine, and RAYE.
Mae’s performed at festivals like Mighty Hoopla, Reading and Leeds, and this year she’ll be at Brighton Pride!
