Your winner of the hugely esteemed and sought after title of Warwick BNOC of the Year 2017 is third year Economics student and “straight legend”, Gerry Lianos.

Gerry received a staggering 70 per cent of the 4,438 votes, giving him a landslide win over the other contestants.

Speaking of the news of his win, Gerry said: “It feels great to win! I will definitely be using this on my love island application for the next year. Still have to lose about 30kg but this is a meaningful step in the right direction.”

When asked how he would celebrate his win, Gerry commented that he would: “Pack out a Fiat 500 with five lucky voters and go on a countrywide tour.”

“I feel honoured”, he said, “all those nights out, dragging my mate and fellow nominee, Luke Jackson, feet first out of Smack now seem worth it.”

Luke in fact went on to receive only two per cent of the votes, a mere 93 in comparison to Gerry’s 3,108.

In second place was the campus famous Warwick Goose. However, with only 715 votes, this contestant still didn’t come close to beating his rival, Gerry.

Well done to all the contestants as the competition for Warwick BNOC of the Year 2017 is always a tough one. Gerry extends his warmest thanks to all those who voted and helped him to achieve such a great title.
