Law second year hopes to win over judges in Miss England 2016 semis

She even looks good wearing football tickets and plastic bags

Nottingham beauty Vicky Marriott will be competing for Miss England 2016 after conquering her beloved county by being crowned runner-up in the Miss Nottingham competition.

The leggy law student will be repping Nottingham in the semi-finals for Miss England on 11 June in the hope of being one of the ten out of 50 girls who will join Miss Nottingham and other regional winners in the finals.

Vicky said: “To be Miss England 2016 would be an honour. It would allow me to use the crown as a platform for further charity work, not only for Beauty With a Purpose, but also for the Alzheimer’s and MS societies, both of which are important and close to my heart.”

Sorry lads, she has a boyfriend

Vicky, who is in her second year of studying law, first began balancing her books with ball gowns in April last year when she won the title of Miss Social Media in the Miss Forest and Fens competition.

The natural beauty hopes to win the judges over with her passion for helping the community and her approachable, cheerful and generous traits.

She said: “There are multiple rounds in the competition which include a text vote, raising money for the Miss World charity Beauty With a Purpose, a sports round and making a dress from recycled material.”

Vicky’s recycled dress was made out of Nottingham Forest ticket stubs and bags and she still looked 10/10

This month, Miss England has chosen to support Age UK in their campaign against the elderly going cold in the winter by encouraging people to take a selfie with a candle and donate some money to the charity.

Candle selfies aim to help raise awareness for Age UK

Vicky has been working hard organising a masquerade ball for 18 March to raise money for Hope Against Cancer at the Robin Hood suit at the city ground.

Tickets are £35 each, to buy a ticket contact [email protected].
