Student Association Presidential candidate Jamie Ross has been warned that if he does not attend the debate tonight then he could potentially be disqualified. The news came late this afternoon, apparently after other candidates complained about his lack of campaigning or dedication to elections.

Ross responded on his facebook ‘campaign’ page, stating that he will indeed attend the debate. However he has also said he will “be watching Celtic v. Juventus with [his] headphones on.” He asked not to be disturbed whilst doing so.

The Elections Committee have decided that although Jamie had the ‘very valid excuse of “having a yoghurt that went off at midnight'” for not attending the hecklings last night, they are asking that he attend the Debate tonight or his nomination will be void before voting opens at 6am tomorrow morning.

For the candidate who “literally has nothing better to do with his time”, we’re sure coming along to defend himself against (or ignore) any allegations that may be thrown at him this evening will spice up his Wednesday.

Go Celtic!
