Tom JenkinA league table ranking unis on the opinion of students has placed Sheffield just outside of the top 20.
We beat the likes of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Manchester, Nottingham, Durham, Birmingham, York and Edinburgh. So all of your mates who say they’re doing better than you can finally pipe down.
The table, compiled by Whatuni.com, analysed the thoughts of over 25,000 student reviews – meaning Sheffield students really love it here. It ranked 125 universities across 10 categories. We had the fourth best students’ union and ranked 11th for the quality of our facilities.
Oxbridge can shut up
A mad 94 per cent of Sheffield undergrads found a job or went into further study after graduation. We were also praised for the cost of a pint, which is between £2 and £3 – far cheaper than your posh mates in Exeter of London.
