Sheffield Student in Miss England Finals

First Amber, now Elle. Sheffield is awash with beauty as fresher Elle makes it to the Miss England finals.

A 1st year student at the University of Sheffield has reached the finals of one of the most famous beauty pageants in the UK.

Elle Scrivens, a first year economics student living in Endcliffe, smashed her competition in the semi finals last week and won a place in the final round due to take place later next month.

Fresher Elle caught the pageant bug shortly before starting her studies at Sheffield. Prior to Miss England the 1st year stunner came runner up in the Miss London finals, while having a modelling career on the side while she finishes uni.

Elle told the Tab “It’s a beauty competition for any girl who lives, works or studies in London. I was eligible to enter as I’ve modeled for the London biased fashion company Jones&jones, who where my sponsors.

“I was also signed to premier model management before I began studying at Sheffield university.

“Coming runner up in miss London gave me the pathway to the miss England semi finals tonight, which i have just won a place at miss England final.”

The final takes place over three days, including an “Eco-outfit” round using recycled material as well as the classic swimsuit and talent rounds.

Elle  said: “My friends were super excited and my mum and dad keep telling me how proud they are!

“I’d like to continue modelling over the summer before starting my second year at uni.”

The Miss England finals will take place in Torquay on June 16.
