NETGO! is offering a Student Academic Year Tram Ticket on its app, until the 20th October.

A Student Academic Year Tram Ticket on the NETGO! app is currently available at a reduced price of £275, saving you £50 and working out to cost 82p a day.

The offer is available to all students living in and around Nottingham and works out to be 80 per cent cheaper than a standard Student Day Ticket over the year.

The tram is so fundamental to many students, especially those who live in places such as Beeston and Forest Rec area.

Alison Sweeney, head of marketing at NET said: “Nottingham is a bustling city with so much to offer thanks to a thriving hospitality scene, a plethora of shops and a wide range of live music venues, making it a very attractive option for students. As we welcome both freshers and returning students to the city, we’ve put together a new offer to help them get the most out of their time in Nottingham this academic year.

“With the new discounts, students will be able to access all the city has to offer for less than £1 a day, regardless of how many tram journeys they take that day. So, whether they’re travelling to the iconic Rock City for a gig, into the city centre to shop or enjoying the many food options on offer, they’ll be able to make their money go even further this year.”

The NETGO! team will have a stand at both University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent’s freshers’ fairs where they will be offering exclusive deals for even cheaper travel for the upcoming academic year.

They will be at Nottingham Trent Clifton campus on Monday 16th September, and its city campus on Wednesday and Thursday 18th and 19th September. They will be at University of Nottingham on Wednesday and Thursday 25th and 26th September.

The tram lines serve major places across both all campuses and the city itself. Trams operate 364 days a year, permitting there are no technical difficulties. With the bus lanes and parking prices in Nottingham, the tram is an excellent option for students that is sustainable and reliable.

Not only is it a great option for students generally, but there have been an increase in safety measures at tram stops such as increased lighting, HD CCTV, emergency buttons on trams, and the ability to contact a NETGO! team member discretely through WhatsApp on 0115 824 6060.

The discounted Student Academic Year Tram Ticket is available through the NETGO! App which is available on the App Store or Google Play.
