10 things to do this week

It’s the final week of term! There’s plenty of stuff to be doing.

1. Tom’s Midnight Garden @ Theatre Royal

Tuesday – Saturday, times vary, £11+

The much loved children’s tale is transformed for the stage in Nottingham this week, and tells the story of Tom’s travels back in time to a secret garden.

2. That Face @ New Theatre

Tuesday – Friday, times vary, £4+

A tour through the lives of an unstable family forced together, ‘That Face’ promises to be twisted, honest, and address what it means to be ‘grown up’.

3. Viva Voce Concert @ Djangoly Recital Hall

Monday, 7.30pm, £3

The music society’s auditioned chamber choir present their concert for the term. Expect some choral tunes mixed up with a few barbershop classics.

4. Gin and Juice vs Fuck Hip Hop @ The Market Bar

Tuesday, 9.30pm, £6

The two edgiest of edgy nights come together so that you can celebrate the end of term (nearly, it’s the last week – it counts).

5. Torvill and Dean’s Dancing on Ice @ Capital FM Arena

Tuesday, 7.30pm, £36.40+

Yes okay this one’s a little pricey, but for those hardcore ice dance fans out there (there must be some) this is one not to be missed. Here’s Torvill and Dean when we were actually proud of them and they didn’t ruin Sunday nights.

Insane jealousy will ensue from everyone you know if you actually get a table

The final free concerts of the term are courtesy of Opera Nova and the student run Chamber Orchestra.
