These godfathers of pop-punk make an exciting appearance at Rock City this weekend. We may have been born in the 90’s but who doesn’t like to party like it’s the 1970’s!?
2) Black Comedy @ Nottingham New Theatre
Wednesday-Saturday (14-17 Nov), 7pm (2pm Sat Mat), £4-7
This hilarious farce heralds the opening of the new theatre building on campus! Come along and have a good laugh. Another NNT offering this week is Moon (Mon & Tues) in the Uncut Season, showcasing a talented cast and new writing.

3) Alunageorge @ Stealth Vs Rescued
Saturday, 10pm, £5
The London based duo will be coming to Rescue Rooms (for the bargain price of £5) spreading their unique pop, R&B infused hits, such as ‘Your Drums, Your Love’. One not to miss!
4) Haim @ Bodega
Friday, 7pm, £7
All-female LA quartet Haim bring their superb upbeat lo-fi sounds to Bodega.
5) Mother Courage And All Her Children @ Lakeside Arts Centre
Tuesday, 7.30pm, £12
A slice of Brecht in this one-off performance at the Lakeside Arts Centre which is sure to push the boundaries and challenge it’s audience.
6) Russell Kane @ Theatre Royal Nottingham
Monday, 8pm, £17.50
His Nottingham leg of Posturing Delivery. His hyperactive style has already please the critics with The Times calling it ‘Invigorating comedy… Kane is too busy and too bright to slow down and be boring’.
7) SHARE Uganda Open Mic Night @ The Ropewalk
Monday, 7.30pm, £2
SHARE Uganda is one of the UofN’s charitable societies, and their open mic night is featuring some of the best local talent including Cheshire and the Cat, Bella Gaffney, Alaskan Faction, Georgie Rose and James McDonnell. So go down, and help raise some money.
8) Sunday Jazz @ Nottingham Contemporary
Sunday, 10am-6pm, FREE
Free Jazz all day in the Café Bar at the Contemporary. This is surely the perfect Sunday tonic to any over-indulgent weekend.
9) Safe Sex Ball @ Ocean

How could we go without mentioning the biggest sex-fest in the Nottingham calendar. With ‘rodeo penis’ and a dress code of ‘Exotic and Erotic’, I think you can bet on The Tab being there.
