In the words of Des’ree, dreams can come true. The Students' Union has finally heard us all and given us the power to choose the music at A-List Saturdays.

No more will you be flopped over the railings, holding up your phone with a song suggestion on it, or waving your arms using every ounce of your consciousness for the DJ's attention.

A playlist has been created on Spotify called ‘A List Music Suggestions’, where anyone can add their choices of songs they want to hear on a Saturday night.

#NoMoreMrBrightside

Before we go all Paddy McGuinness and put the power in your hands, the playlist is purely to submit 'suggestions', so don’t assume as soon as you add a song, it’s getting played. Which we can all be pleased about, since someone has already added ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’, the only Timberlake song loathe worthy.

But fear not, Toto’s Africa was also one of the first songs to be added. The more quality music you add, the better the night will be.

Click here and add your favourites songs, unless your favourite songs include Uptown Funk, then maybe leave it to the rest of us.
