We asked freshers why they chose to study at UEA

Surprisingly no one mentioned Prince of Wales Road

Bright eyed and bushy tailed, this year’s freshers have all moved in and are making the most of Freshers’ Week. Whether it’s the bunnies or the graded buildings, there are a multitude of things going for UEA and we wanted to find out exactly why the new first years decided to study here.

Christian, 18, Environmental Studies

“Because it’s one of the best programs in the UK and I really wanted to come to England.”

Lisa, 18, History

“UEA has a really good history course, and is right next to a city full of history.”

Hannah, 18, Economics

“It’s away from the city life and there’s a bunch of green areas. The economics course is really nice.”

Joey, 18, Law

“Every student I spoke to at UEA had great things to say about it. I still haven’t found anybody with a bad thing to say.”

Tora, 18, International Development

“UEA seems pretty new. It’s one of the best universities in the country and my course comes with a year abroad.”

Ellie, 18, Law

“I don’t know, I just really loved it.”
