UEA ranked 9th best in the UK… by UEA

That’s 80 times better than Essex

We’ve ranked ourselves as the 9th best university in the UK – rating ourselves higher than Oxford and Cambridge.

The reviews, written by over 20,000 students, saw UEA soar to the top ten while Essex floundered at number 89.

It’s another smack in the face after their 3rd consecutive Derby Day loss in March.

In data published by Whatuni, results were based on averages of reviews submitted over the past year.

The LCR was considered in the ranking

The reviews cover everything including accommodation, nightlife, societies, job prospects and the student union.

At least 100 people gave feedback for the rankings, with 113 universities taking part overall.

Loughborough came in at first place, followed by Harper Adams in 2nd. We’ve never heard of it either.

And Swansea University was 3rd.

So much UEA love

Cambridge ranked 25th, Oxford was 29th, Warwick was 49th, and UCL barely made a dent, coming 75th.
