SOS: Wifi down at Beech House

This is not a drill

Freshers’ worlds were torn apart this morning with one tweet from UEA IT Services.

With portal and webmail experiencing issues earlier this week, it is understandable UEA first years may be on edge as this scenario triggers a stream of important questions such as:

“How will I check facebook?”

“Will I have to actually attend lectures now instead of watching them online?”

“How can I upload my filtered picture of UEA lake on Instagram without going over my data allowance?”

No Wifi to be found round here.

Most notably, it means procrastination is virtually impossible. Students will have to resort to old school paper airplanes and games of hangman.

This may not seem too troubling during freshers week, but the devastation will soon be felt when they find themselves crawling to the library with a hangover to write their first essay of the year.

Stay strong.
