Mollie SimpsonAntwerp Mansion finally revealed via Instagram they will be making an big announcement on Sunday at 6pm.
After a series of teasers on Instagram, including a story featuring a picture of a hand emerging from a grave, and a photo of a rising Phoenix, we've been promised "concrete information" on Sunday.
Manchester City Council issued a closure notice to Antwerp in February, and the mansion closed for business on 17th March. Since then, Antwerp events have been hosted at the Deaf Institute, O2 Ritz, and Factory instead. The mansion then reinvented itself, making use of the vast space and atmospheric grunge feel to come back as 'Battle Mansion', a laser tag venue for over 14s.
However, Antwerp may not be coming back as we once knew it just yet. Speaking to the Tab Manchester, Rusholme Councillor Rabnawaz Akbar said Antwerp have made no planning applications to reopen as a club, nor completed any of the reparations needed to pass health and safety regulations. Buzzkill.
Antwerp Mansion were unavailable for comment.
