Five Guys is coming to the Arndale Centre

Forget the Olympic parade

Five Guys is opening its third store in Manchester as the US chain puts forward plans to expand to the Arndale.

The American burger giant has reportedly put forward a planning application to open in the Manchester Arndale.

The application was filed with Manchester City Council in September with hopes to open up a store near Market Street.

It will be the third branch to reach Manchester, after opening in the Trafford Centre and Ashton Moss three years ago.

The popular American chain boasts a healthier approach to fast-food and a cheeseburger will set you back £7.95.

Manchester Arndale are currently in the process of developing Halle Square into a £11m food hub, set to open in 2018 and Five Guys may be the first addition to the renovation.

Theology student, Ronan Long, told The Tab: “I am literally buzzing, I love Five Guys but it’s always been such a trek.

“I’ll no longer have to pick between the same places in the food court and I can finally fill my tray up with free peanuts without travelling miles.

“This is the best thing to happen to Manchester since the Chuckle Brothers came to Fifth.”
