Inspired by the dark and dangerous side of birds

Striking, mysterious and animalesque, Shabnam’s carnal collection silenced spectators at UCL’s MODO Olympia fashion show.

Inspired by the dark and dangerous side of birds, the returning UCL alumni adorned her models in sculpted feathers, mesh and lace and back-brushed hair was held up by extravagant feathered head-pieces!

The opening look, a nude translucent mermaid maxi dress that revealed stockings, holdups and rhinestone nipple covers, set the lingerie-esque theme. A black mesh dress in a similar silhouette with a high feathered neck and a black dress with spider mesh side panels and feathered shoulder pads followed.

The third ensemble was particularly eye-catching: a black gown held revealingly together with chains running down both sides. The model looked masochistic, accessorised with a chain mask and long leather gloves.

Next came a touch of the Romantic: a voluminous ruffled gown with a plunging neckline and a low crossed back.

For the finale look, Shabnam presented a fantastic structured one shoulder dress made of peacock feathers layered beneath a thin film of mesh (with a matching peacock headpiece, of course).

This pop of colour wrapped up a truly surprising and spectacular collection!
