Calling all Leeds students: Come and write for the best student journalism team!

We’re hosting an open meeting at Old Bar on Monday 9th October at 6pm and we’d love to see you there

Whether you’re an incoming fresher or a returning veteran, The Leeds Tab is looking for new writers to join the team!

From hot-off-the-press campus headlines to Hyde Park and Headingley’s best drinking spots, here in Leeds there’s always a story ready to be told.

The past year, The Tab has covered it all:  The marking boycott, the student occupation of the Esther Simpson building,  the best happy hours in the city – you name it, we’ve done it.

Now, with a new term fast approaching, we’re after fresh talent to contribute to our pages. No matter your level of experience, if you’re passionate about putting pen to paper and providing the students of Leeds with comprehensive rundowns of all the latest campus goings-on and gossip, we’d love to hear from you.

Aside from being a great way to meet friends, writing for The Tab is also the perfect opportunity for those of you wanting to try your hand at journalism, without the pressures of a more formal environment.

If the above sounds up your street, we’re hosting an open meeting on Monday 9th October at Old Bar in Leeds University Union at 6pm – students from all universities in Leeds are welcome, so if you fancy getting involved, please do pop along (and feel free to bring a pal!).

In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to drop us a message on Instagram (@thetab_leeds).
