The union held a vote to allow snacks in the library but nobody even bothered to vote

No one enjoys crumbs to be fair

It’s been mentioned a few times over the past few years that there is low engagement with the Leeds University Union. However, it’s difficult for any of us to vote if we were never told about it in the first place. And because none of the ideas for the December referendum received 1500 votes none were passed.

The vote to allow snacks in the library only received 89 votes in total: 65 voted yes and 23 people voted no. One person abstained from the vote altogether. Another one of the ideas was whether the LUU should campaign for a transition to zero-emission buses, but there were even fewer votes for this.
