Studies reveal Leeds is one of the best cities in the UK to be single

Time to change your location to Leeds on Tinder

A study by Bateaux London has released a ranking of the best cities around the UK for singletons, with Leeds coming in at 16th place.

Leeds is ahead of London which scored 22nd place, York which placed 21st and even Oxford and Cambridge, which means there really is more to to romance in Leeds than sharing a Crispy's after Fruity Friday. Though these results may be surprising, rent for one bed the city centre is £1026 cheaper than London, which gave Leeds a head start in the ranking.

The list was based on the average cost of being single, the percentage of the population who are single and the amount of people aged between 20-30, with the idea that the more single people there are, the better.

The study suggests that 47.45% of the population in Leeds are single and with the average price of a meal at £45, a pint of beer at £3.50 and a cinema ticket at £10, a date night in Leeds really is affordable (it's also £1 entry to Popworld for students, so romance can never really die in Leeds).

And yet, I can still never get a decent match on Tinder.
