Snoop Dogg coming to Control
World famous rapper to visit Leeds as DJ Snoopadelic
David CowlishawWith over 30 million albums sold worldwide, it was only natural that Snoop Dogg (Snoopzilla to his friends) would fancy coming to Leeds.
Snoop Doggy Dog/Snoop Lion hits Control on the 7th of June as part of a low-key tour of the UK, under yet another new name ‘DJ Snoopadelic’. As you’d expect, the night is in association with Gin & Juice.
Fans hoping to see some rap from Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. will likely be disappointed, because as his new moniker suggests, it’ll only be DJ sets from Snoop in four venues across the UK. This follows his release of dance compilation album Loose Joints Vol. 1, which came out under the name ‘DJ Snoopzilla’ in 2012.
If you think that ‘Ain’t no fun’, don’t ‘Sweat’, because of course Leeds Uni still has quality acts booked for it’s summer ball.
