Leeds favourite WKD haunt to close its doors later this spring
Jack CummingsLeeds’ largest club, Evolution, has announced it will close.
The ‘Student Superclub’ will be celebrating their closure with a series of farewell parties before their final event in May.
In their goodbye message Evolution wrote:
“We want to thank every single one of you, the hundreds of thousands of students past and present that have been through the mighty doors of EVO. It is with great memories (and sadness) we announce the time has come to say farewell.”
Reactions to the closure have been mixed. Kurt Brook commented: “What a shame. Had my first taste of the night life here when I was 12.”
While James, a third year history student, told The Tab: “I never go to Evo any more so it won’t really be missed.”
