The Daily Mail released a university ranking guide and it’s not looking good for Lancaster
York beat us and that’s not ok
The Daily Mail has released a university league table, in which Lancaster University is a lot further down than its usual top 10 ranking.
Lancaster ranked 37th meaning it’s below Heriot-Watt University, who are in 32nd, University of East Anglia, who are in 28th, and Aston University, who are 24th.
Most notably, York University are in 35th, two places above Lancaster. Criminal, if you ask me.
The Daily Mail says that it bases the ranking on a number of factors including the income of the university from research, graduate salaries 15 months after graduation, and the opinion of 346,ooo students.
The ranking also takes into consideration the fairness of the university’s admission’s process, including how many first generation students are admitted to the university each year.
However, no need to panic because Lancaster is in the top 10 best UK universities according t0 the Complete University Guide, so we’ll just quote that ranking when anyone asks us where our university stands nationally.
