Hold on to your lacrosse sticks: Roses 2023 opening ceremony announced
Europe’s largest varsity will be held in York this year
Issy BarkerUniversity of York Students Union has announced the Roses 2023 opening ceremony.
Roses will take place in York this year after being held in Lancaster last year.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, April 28th.
The ceremony fixtures will be Men’s 1st Lacrosse and Women’s 1st Lacrosse.
YUSU stated in its Instagram post, “This is the first time that Lacrosse has opened the weekend and will be an Opening Ceremony you and hundreds of other spectators will never forget.”
Roses will take place between April 28th and April 30th.
This year’s Roses charity partner will be Survive, who help to rebuild lives after sexual violence.
Tickets for the opening ceremony will be able before Easter.
