The support space will be held by LUSU Officers and the LGBTQ+ Forum

Lancaster Uni’s LGBTQ+ Forum and LUSU officers will be holding a support space for those affected by the death of Brianna Ghey.

The event will be held on February 22nd from 6pm to 8pm.

It will take place in the Sky Lounge, located on the top floor of the InfoLab.

Information for the support space can be found on the LGBTQ+ Forum’s Instagram.

Lancaster LGBTQ+ Forum also held a vigil last Wednesday for Brianna Ghey.

In the post for the vigil, LUSU’s LGBTQ+ officers stated, “We are shocked and saddened by the killing of Brianna Ghey, a 16 year old trans girl from Warrington.

“The community has been deeply affected by the news, and we know that many of our members will be struggling, especially considering the closeness of the incident to Lancaster.”
