With Scottish prints such as tartan and checks being bang on trend at the moment, this would be ideal as a statement piece. Pair it with a thick black scarf to complete the look, without drawing attention away from the coat.

2.The chunky scarf

The most attractive feature of this scarf is its length. It can be wrapped around the neck at least twice, providing both comfort and flexibility for whatever outfit you chose to combine it with.

Though a little pricey for an accessory, consider it as a vibrant and eye-catching investment – or even an early Christmas present from the infamous ‘Uncle Norman’.

Every winter, it really does seem to be all about the hats. Play it safe with black, or explore the website for a range of different colours, such as the deep mulberry or the exotic and bright lime.

4.The textured jumper

Textured knits are already a firm favourite this season, and the high-street has plenty to offer for all tastes and budgets.

The soft finish and geometric print give this jumper a real festive feel, yet the monochrome effect ensures its wear-ability during the winter period as a whole.

5.The ankle boot

Primark has a superb choice of boots in stock at the moment, with a huge range to choose from for winter.

This simple ankle boot ticked all the boxes for Tab fashion: reasonable price, comfortable, made from waterproof material and a plain colour – but with a twist of gold to add variety.
